I’ve been a runner most of my life. Even as a pre-teen back in Nebraska I would run the 10K races with my Dad, although I could never come close to keeping up. In high school, track and cross country were my best sports. I guess it comes down to simply not being very good at other sports and to having a lot of alone time with nothing better to do.
In my adult life I’ve gone in spurts of several months when I run and then I take a few months off, put on a few pounds and then have to take them off again. I travel a lot and tend to always take my running shoes so I thought I’d document some of it and see if I can actually see myself get in better shape over time. Maybe those of you who read my blog (a.k.a. mom and dad) can offer me some encouragement!?!
Here’s the first installment of my new multi-part series: Running Around The World, starring me! Click on the image below to see the video.

Go Mike!! But please be careful. Be aware of your surroundings (unlike your dad!). Love, Mom
Hi Mike,
Good For You!! I I am inspired, wish I could run like that, but after beating the concrete floors every day at work, my feet are ruined! Glad to hear about you!
Be Careful!

Mike,
I think you are ready for a run in the mile high city after watching you fly down the street in London with ease! It’s time for a challenge.
